Literature Text

The Titan goes flying across the platform and is caught by his friends. A hunter's arc charged blade is caught in mid-swing and taken from him and the Hunter is then thrown across the platform and hits a warlock who was about to use his super, and instead hits the warlock and accidentally kills himself. A shotgun blast nearly takes out the Titan that everyone is trying to kill, but he whips around and slams his elbow into the shotgun and its next blast kills the Warlock behind the attacker. The Titan takes out his Shotgun and fires off two rounds in quick succession then uses his last two rounds to kill another Titan who was coming up behind his latest kill.
"Can no one best me?" The titan taunts, turning around to look at each Guardian in the ring that had formed. A hunter drops from above, blade barred and ready to strike. But the Titan was expecting such actions and takes out his own blade. Sparks fly as the two blades collide and the Titan punches the Hunter in the head and throws him into the ring of Guardians.
One after the other challenges the Titan, but no one manages to best him. That is, until a large Warlock approaches the platform. He is dressed in Raid gear and holds a blue Pistol.
"Eclipse. Does your ego not rest?" The Warlock asks, calmly side-stepping a Guardian that had just been flung. The Titan turns around to watch the Warlock climb the stairs. The ring of Guardians part and the crowd grows silent as this new challenger approaches. "Drake. I thought you had said you would not be back for another week?" The Titan named Eclipse asks. "Came back early. It did not go well. But that can wait. It seems no one has beaten you, no? I can change that," Drake says, lifting his weapon. "Oh come on. I taught you how to fight! What makes you think-" Eclipse says, but he's caught mid-sentence when the Warlock lunges forward and hits him with a fiery palm-strike.
The Titan's jaw clamps down and is forced to run to the other side to avoid being hit again, as his health bar was only at a sliver. "Have you not learned? Monolouging will lead to your demise. Ready up, Guardian. I will not show mercy a second time," the Warlock says.
The next few minutes are tense. The two Guardians go toe-to-toe. They wail on each other, each showing great skill and speed. But when the Warlock is beaten to his knees, the Titan thinks he had won. But Drake's super bar read full and he had a trick up his sleeve. He would humiliate the Titan during his victory and knock him down a few pegs.
"It seems you have won, Eclipse. I can not go on any longer," Drake says, panting hard. The Titan is standing over him with his shotgun inches from the Warlock's chest. With a grin, the Titan pulls the trigger and the Warlock cries out in agony as the Shotgun rounds tear into him.
His body falls and the crowd erupts into ravenous cheers. But as Eclipse is celebrating and his back is turned, the Warlock makes his move.
His body drops from the Ghost as his new body springs back to life. Flames erupt from his back and he sprouts "wings". His entire being is coated in flame and energy courses through his every move. Through the roar of the crowd, Eclipse hadn't heard him revive. He had chosen the perfect chance.
"Eclipse!" Drake yells, who then whips around with his shotgun raised. Much to the Titan's woe, he sees the flame coated Warlock too late. Drake's palm flies out and the flames erupt from his hand and eat into Eclipse. The Titan flies back and his Ghost quickly materilazes as the body incinerates in the air.
The crowd is silent as Drake's Super runs out and he kneels in front of Eclipse's Ghost. "Sorry, Forzair. I know that was unfair," Drake tells Eclipse's Ghost. "Ah, it's fine. He's been on a winning streak anyways. You know how he gets when that happens," the Ghost replies.
Drake revives Eclipse who is furious. But he isn't a spoil sport. He reluctantly shakes the Warlock's hand, congradulating him. "You successfully humilated me in front of everybody. You took my cockiness and beat me with it. Crucible really does bring out the worst in you," The Titan says. The Warlock only shrugs and puts away his weapons. "You were getting out of hand. Something had to be done. Now will you return with me to celebrate your victory?" Drake asks. The Titan is skeptical, but once he catches the Warlock's tone, he knows they will not be celebrating. Eclipse nods in understanding and gestures for the Warlock to take the lead.
The ring of guardians breaks up and they all leave the battle sight, which was just on the outskirts of the Last City.
"What is wrong?" Eclipse asks the Warlock once they are out of earshot of the other guardians. Drake takes off his helmet and his expression is grim. "Crota has claimed the last team. I was not able to revive them in time. Their Ghosts may yet be alive. I only saw the bodies disapear," the Warlock answers. Eclipse curses and shifts his weight. "So you propose we go on a rescue mission?" he asks, crossing his arms. "Yes. But we will need a full fireteam. With my brother and Volatile, we only make four. We will need two others," Drake says. Eclipse glares at his ally and makes the sort of frown only an Exo can. "You are not suggesting we take Yelt, are you?" Eclipse says, spitting the Hunter's name like a disease. "He is the only one that can assure our victory over the son of Oryx at this point. You of all Guardians know what souls of the light do to his strength," Drake says. Eclipse makes a sound of disgust but nods in agreement. "Get the team together. We leave as soon as it is possible."

An hour later, Six Guardians are gathered in the main Tower. They each wield the weapon they are best with and have grim expressions. Each had gone through the Son of Oryx's lair at least once, and none of them liked what they had experienced. "We meet at the Hellmouth. Wait for us to meet and then we shall descend," Eclipse says, trying to shake the fear creeping up on him. He hopes a memory would not be activated once down there. He would not like to experience that again.
"We will go separate. Our sixth member's ship has broken, I will pick him up from our home base," Yelt says, giving Eclipse a wary look. The Hunter and Titan had fought a few times before, each skirmish lasting longer than the other. But to pull this off, they would have to coorperate. Not something either Guardian was looking forward to. "It's fine, Yelt. We'll wait for you guys," Stretcher, Drake's brother, says. "Do not inform any others about this. Leading a team of six is hard enough," Eclipse warns. "We're the only ones that know," Drake reassures.
Six ships take off in different directions from the Tower, five of them heading to the same location. The Moon.
"You seem tense, Eclipse. Do you need me to lock down your emotions?" Eclipse's ghost asks. The Exo shudders upon remembering the last time his Ghost did that. He had killed many enemies, and Guardians, without feeling a thing. "No. I will handle this myself. I only wish that you shut me down if things get...out of hand," Eclipse says. His Ghost looks at him in concern, but says no more.

The Guardians meet at the Hellmouth and find Eclipse sitting on the edge, staring down into the maw. "It's been so long since I last crawled out," Eclipse says to no one in particular. Flashes and blurs of his once corrupted mind play in the back of his head. "We will beat this bastard down and I will make him pay personally."
Eclipse stands up and removes the safety on his weapon. He then turns to face the others, looking at each of them in turn. He is satisfied to see the shining armor and weapons glaring back at him. They were ready.
"It's not too late to turn back," Eclipse's ghost says to him personally. "Yes it is. This is my task. My fault," Eclipse says and turns to face the Hellmouth. "lets go."

The Guardians descend down the hill and stand on the activation ring. There's a loud cracking noise as the ring splits and light spews out of the cracks, forming a strange pattern. They wait anxiously as the bridge's ghostly form appears, slowly solidifying. There's a sharp noise and the solid form of the bridge snaps into view. "Let the fun begin," Stretcher says and takes off at a sprint.
They gather at the hole in the bridge, staring down. The void below is dark and forboding. Eclipse could swear Crota is looking directly at him, his eyes piercing through his soul and laughing. But that isn't true. Crota isn't anywhere near them. Yet.
"Lets go!" Stretcher says, breaking the eerie silence. The young Warlock jumps down the hole and the others follow. Eclipse waits for the others to drop first. He can hear the distant sounds of the Hive, and he suddenly grins. "I'm coming for you," he says and drops down.
Here's the first chapter in a who-knows-how-long fan series of the game; Destiny. I started this a while ago, before the House of Wolves, and just now finished it.
The story will follow Eclipse-16 and his team; Drake Bavarian, Stretcher Bavarian, and Volatile. Eclipse-16 is an Exo with a very extensive past in just his 16th life alone.

Hope you enjoyed!
