Inside of a darkened room, four suits of armor reflect the blue display light. Each Spartan inside of the suits stands at attention as the debriefing officer readies the team for their biggest mission yet.
"Operation: Imprisonment will begin in an hour. You will catch the team on Requiem. They will be fully armored, so that is why this EMP device will be used. Once you activate the EMP, you will only have two minutes to proceed with neutralizing the targets and detain them. Once you send in the call, a transport will arrive to take you away before the UNSC catches our scent. It is imperative that you are not detected by anyone but your targets. I trust you understand the gravity of the situation?" the debriefer asks, looking over each of the Spartans who's faces are stoic. "Sir, yes sir!" each Spartan answers in unison. The debriefer nods and pulls up a series of images on the display screen.
Four fully battle-dressed Spartan II's begin sliding across the screen. Different details and information follow their images.
"Kia-334, technical engineer. This Spartan is very good with technological devices such as bugs and viruses. You will need to take her our first to avoid being harmed." The slide changes and reveals a heavily armored EOD Spartan. "Parkson-333. EOD specialist. He is your third priority. You will need to exercise caution when detaining this Spartan. He will be carrying a large amount of dangerous and potentially volatile explosives on him." The slide changes once again to reveal a large Spartan with an EVA helmet. "Spartan-211, ground vehicle specialist. Make sure this Spartan does not get into any kind of vehicle. Due to his specialization, his threat level sky rockets once he is inside of a vehicle. We suspect he is not very skilled in close combat, however."
Perish, Red Team's leader, is forced to speak up once the debriefer says that. "I have to correct you, sir. This Spartan is especially deadly in close-combat due to his experience with his hands and his Shotgun," the leader says, keeping his face clean of emotion. The debriefer narrows his eyes at Perish, trying to pry something from his emotions. But, like the professional he is, the debriefer finds nothing. Instead, he nods once more and turns to the last slide. This is where Perish slips and shows a look of both anger and surprise.
"Jackson-332. Leader and Commando. This Spartan has an array of skills, mainly centered around aerial combat. You are to make sure this Spartan is unconscious when he is being delivered. Do not let him wake under any circumstances."

The display then switches off and the lights inside of the room flick back on, illuminating the helmetless Spartans in charge of the capture of Silver Team.
The debriefer feels dwarfed by these huge fighting machines who wear equally intimidating armor. But he knows that ONI would not send their best if they weren't well-trained. He had nothing to fear from these soldiers. Now their targets on the other hand...this would be interesting.
A few moments later, the Spartan team leaves the debriefing room to ready themselves for their biggest mission yet. While they walk the halls of an ONI facility, Perish wonders how he's going to take down his old rival. They have fought a number of times before. But his team was always there to back him up. Maybe if they could section off the leader from his team and take him out, the others would then be easier to neutralize? One step at a time. First they would need to find them. And requiem is a large planet.
"Perish, do you have a plan?" Janet-313 asks their leader. Perish walks in silence, listening to the ever present clank of their boots on the metal ground. Would they be enough? Their rivals have beaten them before, and fighting them was not easy. They would be backed up with an EMP device good for one use, and several heavy weapons. If they had the permission for elimination rather than neutralization, the mission would be much easier. "Yes," Perish answers. This answer worried Janet. His tone was strange, his words too clipped. But wherever their leader went, his team would follow.
Charlie-315 was already imagining beating the shit out of Parkson. His revenge would be sweet. He might even take out his left eye as revenge. It would have to be quick because Perish would not approve. While they had strict orders to not kill the team, there was nothing that said they couldn't take revenge. Yes. he would blind Parkson just as had been done to him.
While Red Team gets ready for their mission, Silver Team deals with problems of their own down on the surface of Requiem, unaware of what was truly about to come. A storm worse than a hoarde of Prometheans was coming.
I was watching Jacksepticeye's newest video for The Escapists and came up with an idea for my Spartans to be captured and imprisoned by ONI. I decided their old rivals, Red Team, would be the ones doing the capturing. The prison will be just for them, no other inmates.

Anyways, hope you enjoyed this little prologue :meow:

Well this sounds interesting. I wonder if my Spartans Fireteam will have to mount a 'rescue' mission or two.... hmmm... choices, choices... :D Still a great start to hopefully a long and powerful read.
